Since 1972, Native American Connections has been changing lives, strengthening families, and building healthy communities. They began as a small grassroots organization operating one program for Native American men in recovery from substance use disorder. Today, Native American Connections owns and operates 24 sites throughout Phoenix offering a continuum of affordable housing, health, and community development services which touch and change the lives of over 10,000 individuals and families each year. Native American Connections' services are open to everyone and no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin, familial status, or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination.
Home Base Phoenix, operated by NAC, is an emergency shelter community for individuals 18-24 experiencing homelessness. North Central Women’s League assists NAC at their Home Base Central, in Phoenix, preparing and serving a homemade dinner once a month. NCWL also holds an annual event, ”Trick or Treat for Halloween”, in October at their Phoenix location Coral Canyon. Members decorate their vehicles and pass out candy in a safe environment for the resident children. NCWL, through fundraising events, also provides funds for immediate needs, such as toiletries, socks and underwear, or any other requested items for the Homes Base Phoenix and Coral Canyon locations.
